My Tokyo Trip!

Oh my.... I haven't been blogging for more than 1 month! March is over like a flash! Been so busy for the whole month... like what's new right? Hahaha.....
Just came back from Hong Kong yesterday after spent 4 days there and here's some my Tokyo trip's pictures! I'll just let the pictures speak for itself!

After almost 7 hrs of overnight flying and 2 hrs of Bus ride, we reached Ikebukuro's Crown Plaza Metropolitan Hotel. There were no rooms to checked it even though it's very close to 12pm already so we had to freshen up in the hotel's toilet and head out for official business! Very Sian lei! We had to fill our stomach so we head to the MOS burger opposite - all 13 of us!

I like the way they serve the food -
in a ratten basket instead of the plastic ones we have here.
I remembered years ago they were also using the plastic ones.
Looks like it's different now -even the fries had 2 pcs of Onion rings to go along!

After lunch, we had to go to Akabane to visit a suburban mall.
So we went to the subway station!

Look at the Subway lines - so complicated right?!

It was around 1plus therefore the trains are not so crowded!

After we were done with the mall, we head back to Ikebukuro to check in!
There were alot of malls in Ikebukuro as well so our plans were to look at the shops around there for the day since we were quite exhausted from the plane ride. So after we had officially end our work for the day, it was a mad rush to SHOP!!! This is when all our feet began to start hurting!!!

After the shop began to start closing, we went to Q to have ramen at this place!
LayC has been telling me about this place from 3 years ago so I HAD to try it!!!

The next day we head to Ueno! And since it was their first trip to Tokyo for some of them, we brought them to the Ueno Park to see if the Sakura trees are blooming!

We saw this stall once we step into the park and started running towards it!
So interesting - the coloured bananas!!!

I got 1 to share with the girls.
After I picked 1 stick, the owner took it from me and started drawing "faces" on the 2 bananas!
So funny! But it's quite ex ar - 300yen for 1.
Which was around S$4.30!

The tea comes hot - in a flask and a glass of ice and syrup.
The tea is supposed to be organic too!

Daikanyama at night!
This is my 3rd time at Daikanyama but 1st time at night.
The whole place just feel so different from the rest of Tokyo - not so crowded and feels very comfortable too. Except the things there are like Way too expensive!

29th March - An affair with my 偶像!

I'm at Suntec's fountain of wealth waiting for 宗緯!!!

Yay! I've been waiting for so long! I finally get to see him live in person!!!

It's 宗緯's Birthday soon! 4th of April! I can't stand the fan club leader (the one offering him the cake). She asked 宗緯 if he remembered her and he say he don't and she say things like "why not!!! I was at the where and where! you sure you don't remember???"

WAH LAU, give him a break can~!

PS: I'm very grateful to my Boo and LayC whom accompanied me to see 宗緯! Love them lots!

After seeing 宗緯, I went to Raffles City to meet my mama and she told me she was in front of Oto and I saw Osim and I asked her is it Osim then she say ya ya... then I went to look and call her and asked if she has gone to the wrong mall then she insisted don't have then after 10 over mins of looking, I called her again and she finally said she is at the mall close to Sentosa! My god! She went to VivoCity instead! Buay Tahan! Hahaha... But at least ok lah, more things for my aunts to buy!

Chinese New Year

大年初一
Day 1 and I invited the girls over for dinner and gambling session! Usually my relatives don't come cos we don't really keep in contact. Bert came 1st cos she was around the area and Celine was next. As usual, when we tell them a specific time, they will normally be later then that.

大年初二

Day 2 usually I will visit Boo's family. This year his mum and aunt cooked a Japanese feast completed with Japanese curry! Yummy! Stuffed my face with lots of delicious food!

After watching "The Devil wears Prada" on cable, we headed to Kristy's place at Jurong West for visiting! She was at my place visiting me mama, before I head to her place from Boo's place.

Grace and Faith is back! We had a mini gathering with all the past and present SCH Girlies! Too bad Dulcy was sick and Joyce couldn't make it!

I wanted to make reservations for Sun with Moon at Wheelock for 8 peeps but they told me the lunch reservations are already full so I had to go down to queue for a table, which I did. By the time I arrived at wheelock, Grace was there already too so we went up to queue and the lady told us that they WILL NEVER have a seating for 8 people and told us she don't wanna WASTE OUR TIME.
Okay lor.... business good lor.... could have told me in a nicer way lor....

So we decided to try Iciban Boshi at Wisma and at 1st the lady didnt wanna arrange anything for us but she took down my number anyways and we just sat outside like dua pek gong so they bo bian have to arrange something lor... Muahahaha....
So lucky we had a place to have lunch and it was alreay 2plus!

初四

Every year, chu si we have to go back to the office to kai gong. This year's chu si is on a sunday so We still have to go! The usual practise is to go to the 2nd floor office to bai nian with Mr Sim then Ms Tan and the rest of the managers and colleagues and get angbaos from everyone. And for the past 2 years they have been urging me to get married! 9 out of 10 person said the same thing! Goodness!

Then I went to the gambling table and made some winnings from blackjack! whoohoo! This year is good for me! So far hasn't lose money yet! Wahaha!

The funny thing about this year is there are alot of new China promoters and also our 2 new designers and they haven't seen lion dance in the office before and they keep taking pics and fliming the whole lion dance process down! Hahaha... We are like so sian about them liao. Every year's the same pattern!

HAPPY New Year.

This is one of the rare times I can't wait for the coming of CNY.

The main reason - A GOOD break.

Yes. Been working and working and working. Schedules are packed to the brim. Work, pack table, stand counter (SCH term for go to the shop and be salesgirl), pack my room, shop for new year stuff with my mum... blah blah blah....

Stand counter already enough liao I tell you... 11 days of torture. For the past 3 weeks, my weekends are gone - serving neighbourhood aunties buying 3 for $9.90 RED panties. Yes, RED. THE lucky colour of choice - until some fortune teller claimed that those "fan tai shui" people needs Green undies to bring them luck in the newspaper then it became a hot new colour overnight! I swear man... everyone, from xiao jie to lao auntie all come and ask me for green underwear and all the 3 for $9.90 panties are like gone in a jiffy lor.

So for the past 2 weeks I have been digging and digging for GREEN panties in the bin. I don't know how many times I have been repeating the same sentence over and over again - "xiao jie, sorry hor, no more green panties liao" or "yes, no more your size liao". And I really can't stand the last min shoppers who rather queue and queue to try and pay when they can come shop like 2 weeks earlier lor! Buay Tahan! I was working til 4.30pm at Bedok yesterday. I had my final straw man. The aunties and our Super salesgirl drove me CRAZY!!! so damn bloody pissed off til I nearly had a heart attack on the bus ride home!

I'm just glad for now I have a really good break!!! Going to pack my room for now! I can't believed that this year I'm so hardworking! Clean every SINGLE corner of my room! hahaha...
