Sweet Daddy

I was checking my email this morning when a picture of a cute little girl at the bottom of Nylon Mag's e-mailer caught my attention. She is a blond long hair girl, about 4 or 5 years old, wearing her PJ and saluting while in front of her was a plate with something that resembled the American flag. A closer look at the little thumbnail and text, the "American flag" was actually a pancake! I had to check it out! This father Jim is really such a great father! Making very cool and interesting pancakes for his daughter, Allie, which is such a cutie!!! Here are some really cool ones I like!
Jim's cute daughter, Allie!
This was the picture that caught my attention!

How funny looking can the Alien get?

How can anyone make a 3D pancake?!
I'm amazed!

Hahahaha! Pancake-tasting Taco! Nice!
Like Playdoh which you can eat!

This is totally AWESOME!!!
Make a bridge and eat it?!
How good can it get?!?!?! Hahaha!

It sets me thinking after looking at the devotion of Jim to his daughter, Allie.... It's really quite something for fathers to spend time in the kitchen to whip out cool breakfast for their children!
It's really not a culture in our Asian society for men to do something like that. I do think that are a few out there but not many. It's a job more women are willing to take up.

Asian guys are preoccupied with making more money for the family. It's been like that for the past few decades or even centuries! Usually, as I see it, the way of showing concern is mainly by providing more money so that the family can have a comfortable life. It's really not a bad thing I say. Who doesn't need money? The only 1 thing that we can't get enough of besides Love, of course!

The route has never been easy.

The route to earning more comes with a price to pay. Usually the children gets neglected in some families. In some cases, the fathers will be too tired on the rest day to want to do something for their children. And making something for the kids; in this case, cooking; the usual male counterparts will gladly pass the job to their wives! It's another Asian stereotype that the kitchen belong to the women only!

Of course I don't mean ALL fathers. I am sure there are exceptions out there. I just hope there will be more!

To all the fathers out there, do something for your little darlings today!
