"Fake"!

When I came into the office today...................................................Nana handed me this!

Invite to her "Fake" farewell party!

FAKE = Barbie. Period.

It's so funny! And it's 3D! Hahahaha..... Some time last week or this week, I have jokingly asked her to make invites for us for her farewell party! And she really did it! Something VERY appropriate for the theme - FAKE!

See the Dress code! We must have at least TWO fake items on us!
Fake Accents count too!
Guess who came out with the theme....................ME! Hahaha.... Nana and I was out sourcing for props one day and we went to Tangs and I happened to pick up the Shu Uemura's fake lashes catalogue and we got so inspired to start wearing fake lashes to work! But broke lei! So, in the end we bought the really cheap and super kua zhang pair from Chamelon for like $1.90! We didn't really want to wear that out lah... unless we really wanna be mistaken for Drag Queens!!! Hahaha.. Just for the fun of it then the idea just strike me! A "Faking-it" party will be so cool! After some discussion and ideas, Nana is very pro with this suggestion!

So look out for my blog ok! I'll be posting all SCH girlies's FAKE parts and outfits! Hm... What fake things should I add on me????

LayC's B-day Celebration

We had korean food at SU Korean restaurant at Far East Plaza.

Ice and Layc, before the food arrived

The Pink Ladies

The Birthday girl with the blue-black tones Girlies. It was such a coincidence that we end up grouped up by 2 different colour tones - we didn't arrange before hand also. Hahaha...

The side dishes are very delicious! My favourite is the "big-head" tau gei and the kimchi!Yummilious!

My portion of the Ginseng chicken soup. It's very delicious and thick. I like the orginal taste of the soup as it wasn't really flavoured with much salt only the natural sweetness from the chicken.

The Pink ladies enjoying the food

We love Green Leafy Veg!

Busy with cooking and eating! We had soooooo much food in the end, the table wasn't enough to hold all the food! In the end, we had to compete to cook and clear all the dishes so we had space to eat and put more food!

I love making funny faces and Amber joined in!

All Full.

We head straight to Clarke Quay after dinner to chill. End up at Kandi Bar again (was there on my bday as well).

Good way to end the day!

Looks Who's Back?

It's....

Miss Celine Tan!

We hung out today with Ice at Suntec and after that she accompanied me back to Tampines so we went for a drink at Macdonalds. It was good catching up and I have to thank her for helping me get this.............................

A Luella Stevie Bag from 3 seasons ago for 75 pounds.

She called me one night in June at 3am to ask if I want any Luella bag at the sale. Knowing that I'm a fan and I can't really afford the current season ones and also it's NAUTICAL - My favourite! Initially I wanted to take the black quited Miss Sassy bag cos it's black and easier to match but then again I have this thing for nautical stuff so I took this instead. Think it's more "Me".

Of cos I would love to have this season's lastest IT bags like Chanel or Prada but the fact is I can't afford it. I can't even afford this - I Love the Heritage bag to pieces.

*Sigh.....

No choice lor.... I am always so poor so can only take passé bags.

:(

ps. I'm still very thankful to Celine for lugging this slightly over 1kg bag back for me! Why are Luella bags so darn heavy?!?!

Sad, Sad, Sad.....

Something made me very sad yesterday... And I'm still thinking about it.....It didn't help that Boo is sick and we didnt see each other for 2 days already... made it far worse then it already is.

Nope. I can't really say what it is. I didn't dare to tell anyone, except Boo. Feelings will be hurt if it's disclosed... I was really quite affected by it but I didn't show. I thought I should just keep my cool. It's not a big matter lah but just upset over it. Too bad for me lor.

When can I have my cake and eat it?

Just upset over a fact that there are certain things I want so ever badly but just can't have it. But hey, that's life. We can't always have our cake and eat it.

Boo's sick

Poor Boo.... He has tonsillitis again. This is his 2nd time in this year already. The last time he got it was a week before we went to the States. He had fever right to the day we left for Chicago and we were so afraid that we might not be able to make it for the trip. He only got better by the time we reach LA.

Now, in less then 3 months, he fired up again. This time he didnt have the priviledge to stay at home to rest. He is super short-handed. His partner is still in Taiwan. Most of the time he has to tend the shop alone at Marina Square because he doesn't want Peggy to to tend the shop alone, scared she xin ku. So last wednesday, he started having sore throat then he immediately tried all ways to prevent himself of heating up by drinking bottles and bottles of water and super bitter liang teh. He also avoid all the heaty food at all cost. But it didn't help. By thursday, he started having fever already. It was National Day and all the stupid nuisance at Marina Square made him so pissed off that it had worsen his conditions.

Friday, he went to work with fever but he didnt dare to tell his family. Saturday,I went down to The Central branch to help full day. He had to serve customers, make beverages and prepare simple foodstuff. He grabbed rest whenever he can and I try to help as much as possible. His mum and aunt came so he had to act as if he is ok. Later that evening, he still insisted on sending me home. I made him take a cab later as he refused to let me send him back instead! Very stubborn!

Then on sunday, he finally went to see a doctor, whom prescribed him the same medicine which is a 10-day course antibotics, lozenges and an inhaler? It had triggered his asthma a little. He still went to work because Peggy is off on that Sunday. I rushed down to help him and he still refused to let me go cos he knows I have to be at home to accompany my mum but I sneaked out never-the-less.Oops! Lucky I went down ok, when I reached there he was curled up shivering in the kitchen. His fingers-tips are all purplish already! Sibeh Chams leh. Sick still cannot go home cos not one working. Haiz.... Sibeh heart-pain....

Many people I know takes MCs so ever easily... Like don't feel like working will take MC. I am sure you will say things like...He's the boss mah... It's his business mah... If he is not responsible, he would have cancelled all the staffs' off days and also make them work alone. And because of this business, he gave up alot of things, suffered set-backs after set-backs and lost lots of time. He gained some valuable experience though. I am very proud of him and I will always be there to help him and to support him.

Boo at better times.

So so busy....

Been very busy lately.

This 2 weeks passed like a breeze for me. First week was spent sourcing and getting ready for Exclusive's photoshoot (posting the photos soon too) which happened last friday. Then on saturday, it was Ice's housewarming for us and followed by LayC's birthday celebration. Then this week was spent helping Boo as he is super short-handed and unfortunately he has fallen sick on wednesday. And because his buay zhi dong partner had went back to Taiwan for two whole weeks, he wasn't able to rest at home. I went down after work everyday plus I helped out on National Day and also yesterday. He was burning with fever for the past TWO days and still working. That poor boy... *Haiz... And my brother was hospitalised these 2 weeks also. I'm so tired - mentality.

National Day was hell for us. We had to be in Marina Square's Lao Zhao Pai unfortunately and we witness the SUPER DUPER UGLY Singaporean at work. It was really crowded - like half the Singaporean population was there lor. All went down to see the fireworks lor and were dressed in red and white - DISGUSTING. Everyone just crowd the whole Marina Square lor and there are sooooooo many of them resting outside our shop. Squat lah, sit lah, lean lah... lean nevermind ok.. must put one leg up and leave their bloody footprint on OUR wall ok... Sibeh buay zhidong leh these people. If I go to their house and leave my footprint on their walls, I bet they are going to curse my whole 18th generations lor!!! So you see lah! FUGLY!!! There were even 2 malay girls who suddenly decide to stand at the entrance of the shop! When ask if they wanna come in and browse and GUESS WHAT! They say..."No, Thank You..." But REMAINED at the same postion leh!!!!! At the entrance! Not say our entrance is very big ok... Cannot believe it man... There are really such people out there.

Marina Square was sooooo crowded that fights broke out. We happened to witness one of these fights - so exciting leh. We were standing outside the shop when suddenly we say a chair came flying out of Long John Silvers! Then shouting followed by a couple of malay guys and one of them came flying out with a kick! So funny leh! Not very smart to fight there lor! The LJS staff ran and grabbed two policemen from nearby and immediately sat down and took their particulars. Not bad, at least I was entertained for a moment! Huhuhu....

I am really disgusted by general Singaporean behaviour. That sets me thinking.... if everyone claims to dislike ugly Singaporean behaviour, which means they are not the so call "Ugly Singaporean". Then who are the real "Ugly Singaporean"???? Like bad drivers. All the cab drivers, or driver friends claims Singaporeans are bad drivers; then who are the good drivers? Interesting right?
Anyway.... Enough of all these... Makes me sick. Here's some photos!
