I've reached that kind of age where a lot of friends are either married or planning to marry in these 2 years. I have been asked that question too ever since they felt I have reached the marriageable age. I am sure a lot of my friends out there are also experiencing the same thing. BORING!!!
Aren’t these people bored of asking the same questions over and over again?
Recently met up with Boo’s friends and most of them got married last year and earlier this year and one couple will be married next month. Not many girlfriends left in the group; only me I guess until Shi Yong gets a girlfriend too then I’ll have company.
So every time I happen to join the group, Boo and I will be left at the background. The excited newly-weds and the-soon-to-be-married couples will be excited talking about their weddings and their HDB flats. Who’s the photographer lah, what kind of gowns, where they are considering to hold the banquet lah. Then also their love nest, where lah, how good their contractor is lah… blah blah blah...... me and Boo are just tucking in and basically left in the background lah.
Well, I’m fine with it. Because I don’t want to be asked the question again- Like WHEN wanna finally get married?! Just that I get bored with listening to the same thing over and over again. I figured that they do not have anything to talk to me about since I seldom join them and I am also not planning for my wedding thus no common topic.
No “bridal-bonding” I guess (machiam like smokers bonding… hahaha…).
Like meeting up with my secondary school friends is the same. Out of 7 of us, 4 are married and already parents or going to be parents. 1 already has a HDB and going to get married soon. So every time we meet, the usual – talk about weddings, babies and flats. Nowadays, I just meet one close friend. The rest, we only meet up with each other during weddings or events like that.
For my sistas, only 2 are married so still okay lah. We don’t often talk about weddings and HDBs and stuffs like these so it’s ok. We only stressed those who are single to faster get a boy friend! Hahaha…
OK, enough of boring stuffs! I am going to post my happenings for this week!

Sorry, No photos from Shin Kushiya. Although I would have loved to show all of you how delicious the Yakitoris were and How good each dish is but I thought it would be rude of me to stop everyone from eatting and started snapping pictures of the food which I normally do! But usually with Boo's family I tend not to snap lah... Like No manners like that. Next time then!
