My Birthday....

I know.... This post is wayyyyyyyy overdue.... Hahahaha.... My birthday was like almost 3 weeks ago!
I've been really busy and lazy as well... Too many photos and too many events that happened in July - Not only there was my birthday, there is also 2 baby Man Yue parties that I've to attend. And Baby Tasha's parties I've to plan for the decorations as well! And just when I thought that everything will settle down and I will go back to my normal weekends and getting ready to start my collections at work, I've been dropped a live bomb.

Yes. An extremely heavy burden was suddenly dropped on my shoulders. Just like 3 years ago, my manager, Angie, suddenly applied for urgent leave for 1 and half months.

In 2005, she also had to go on an urgent leave suddenly. At that time, it was quite a bad situation because it was so sudden. And there were no one else following her work and the things on hand! I was still in Young Hearts at that time. I was told to transfer to Pierre Cardin and was still very much struggling with the fact. Before I could even make a decision to go or not to go over, I was told to let the ropes in 1 day.

Yes, ONE single day.

I had no clues what to expect. I didn’t have a choice. I was thrown into the open sea – it’s either I drown or I try to swim. For sure, no one can help me. Now, it’s the same situation. It can’t be compared to the initial experience but the stress amount was greater. I had my own stuff on hand to deal with and now I had to oversee all the production stuff, POs and development stuffs as well. Although Angie tried her best to hand-over most of the things in 1 day, there are a lot of stuffs that are unforeseen and are happening right now.

The 1st 2 days she was away on leave, I nearly went crazy. On the verge of tearing out my hair when a lot of people just can’t find her and immediately came to me with questions! But I had no answer!!! I wasn’t in any position to make any decisions as well! And over the weekend, I lost sleep. I woke up in the middle of the night and kept thinking about the next photo shoot and how to make things work. And suddenly all the problems at work just poured in. I didn’t sleep till 2 hours later. Goodness me……..

Ok ok. Enough of my problems at work! Here are my photos from my birthday! For those who had forgotten, my birthday falls on 11th of July! It’s very easy to remember! Just remember 7-11 and you will always think of me when you see a 7-11 store! Hehehe!!!

Ok, got to tell you a bit more! At the stroke of midnight on the 11th, I was disappointed that no one sms me at all! Throughout the years, many friends started messaging me before midnight and all the way thru to 2am! But this year – none! I got a little upset to be honest. But I assured myself that my friends probably will message me tomorrow morning or something. The next morning, still nothing, not even from my sistas until much later then the sms wishes started a little bit. A few friends chose to wish me over Facebook which is very sweet of them also. As I thought it will be yet another mundane birthday, a birthday surprise was waiting for me!

The 1st surprise is from the SCH girlies, as I thought we will be cutting a slice of cake in the office, they thought of a plan to eat lunch at MacDonald’s and Wenny still claimed that she had to go to the bank. I almost fell for it until when LayC got a call and the party on the other side of the phone seems to be asking her for the number of candles etc. So I suspected it was Wenny who went to get a cake instead of going to the bank! Hahaha… but I didn’t expect them to cut the cake there and then at Mac. Hahaha…. So it was sort of a surprise also!

Surprise no.2 was from Angie, my makeup artist friend! She was so sweet lor! She came specially to my office to drop a pressie on my table! Very nice of her!

The other big surprise was from Casper’s mum, aunt and sister. I was doing my work usually when LayC suddenly requested me to go to the front, to Regina’s table as there was something wrong with her computer. But from LayC’s tone of voice, I immediately suspected that something is not right and there could be a surprise lining up! So while taking the few steps leading to Regina’s table, I kept thinking…. What or who could it be?! Little that I imagined that Boo’s mum, aunt and Yan Jun was standing there! OMG! I was in shock till I didn’t know how to react! Hahaha… I must have looked very weird! Hahaha….

Apparently, Yan Jun had secretly liaised with LayC for this surprise. They initially only wanted to pass the gifts to her but she made them hide in front as part of the surprise! Hahaha… Yan Jun also ordered 2 extremely pretty cupcakes for me as a gift!!!! It’s really very sweet of her! I was really very happy and totally speechless when I saw the cupcakes. The lovely cupcakes were from the “Little House of Dreams” and they had a post on my cupcakes! Take a look of it here!

Boo’s family also gave me a cotton candy machine! COOL! They got so excited and they immediately gave me a demo on how to play and make cotton candy later with my colleagues! Hahaha! Which I did! SCH girlies heart the machine too! We had fun, fun, fun!

Super Sweet Surprise
from Grace!!!

Grace dear, send me flowers! Very sweet of her to remember my bday and also send very sweet roses in a pretty watering can! But she got the date wrong! Hahaha... The flowers only came on the 15th and she had mark the calendar wrongly! Hahaha...
I really got so surprised when Regina intercommed me on tuesday morning and said someone is looking for me with flowers.... I was like "huh?!"
Then I saw the card, my heart went "Aw...........Grace.... I miss you so..."
